Are allergies inherited?
There is a strong tendency for allergies to run in families but not all allergies are inherited.

At what age does an allergy manifest itself?
Although most people may experience the onset of allergies during childhood due to the natural susceptibility of this particular age group to most kinds of diseases, onset of adult allergies are fairly common.  In short, allergies can occur at any time or at any age.

Are allergy shots and medications needed for the rest of the patient’s life?
When injections take effect and immunity is developed, shots are tapered off and discontinued when warranted.
